About the Owner

In 2023, Katherine Underwood launched her inaugural jewelry line, Teal Heron. Currently residing in Charleston, South Carolina, but originally from the Upstate of SC, Katherine takes pleasure in duck hunting and fishing with her family in Charleston. As a southern enthusiast of outdoor activities, Katherine aspires to inspire women captivated by the outdoors by creating accessories that commemorate their adventures.

Challenging the historical perception that hunting and fishing were not traditionally considered women's activities, Teal Heron was conceived to convey the idea that the outdoors can be embraced no matter where you are. Each piece is meticulously crafted from personal stories and experiences, capturing the enduring beauty and essence of outdoor adventures. All designs are developed by Katherine herself (and her husband) — and are handmade in Charleston, SC. Katherine resides in Charleston with her husband, two sons, and their Chocolate Lab.
